Encouraging girls to explore technical careers – this is one of the aims of “Boy’s and Girl’s Day”, an initiative supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, as well as the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
For the ninth year in a row, we played our part by offering insights into our technical apprenticeship programmes. We maintain a close educational partnership with the Geschwister Scholl School in Leutkirch, through which we recently welcomed two Grade 7 girls to our company. They had a busy and exciting day with us.
After a warm welcome, they attended a hygiene briefing, which is mandatory before entering our production area due to strict food hygiene regulations. After a detailed tour of our production facilities, the girls got some hands-on experience in our training workshop. This included soldering a metal heart, which they got to take home as a memento.
At the end of the day, we were delighted to receive positive feedback from the girls, who found their experience with us both exciting and educational. We look forward to welcoming more enthusiastic students again next year.
